iMac story continued...

So, I found out that there is actually a well documented problem with iMacs. At least with the one I have. In some situations, you may need to reset your computer's SMC. Well, I followed the Apple instructions:

and the Mac is up and running. I still use it primarly to turn it on, admire, and turn it off, as it it's useless for the work I do but the solution is provided and it worked. Thinking of upgrading to Leopard Snow but frankly, is it worth the effort (and $169) ?
